- Public Defender of Rights (Veřejný ochránce práv)
- The Ombudsman, based in Brno, handles complaints against the conduct or inaction of public authorities, conducts inspections of places where persons are deprived of liberty (prisons, detention, psychiatric hospitals and social-care homes), and acts as the national equality and anti-discrimination body.
- General Inspection of Security Forces (GIBS)
