What it is
CEPOL states that it facilitates the prevention of and fight against serious and organised crime, terrorism and emerging security threats by facilitating and enhancing cross-border cooperation through vocational training, and that it supports, develops, implements and coordinates standardised and specialised training in line with EU law enforcement training priorities. Its audience is staff of police, customs and other relevant services — which is the distinguishing feature: it trains people who already work for a national service, in the specific competence of working with one another.
