What it preserves
The collection of the former RCMP regimental museum, on the grounds of the Academy where the Force trains. The Government describes the Centre’s vision as "a place of discovery, exploration, reflection, and reconciliation".

The history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. As part of a transition to national-museum status announced in March 2025, the Government states that "the museum will work to better reflect the full breadth of the RCMP’s history, including its complex relationship with Indigenous Peoples and its evolving role in reconciliation efforts".
